Intervarsity Series - Game 4 Recap
The final fixture saw UTS have sweep in the womens while the men went down in another nail - biter with the contest needing over time to split the decision. In the womens division, it was again a tight contest through the first 2 quarters. USYD was led by Katie Castle & Annie Henderson who were scoring at will. UTS then knuckled down on the defensive end to these threats and was able to get the win (63 - 44). This win meant that UTS was able to sweep USYD and win the series 4 - 0. The mens division saw arguably the game of the series with the contest needing overtime to obtain a winner. UTS was able to get a comfortable lead before half time but it was quickly cut down by the formidable USYD outfit. Robbie Moore who was outstanding throughout the entire game (41 points) was able to hit a multitude of clutch shots to put USYD up late. Big efforts from Reggie Ridlen & Maxim Nesterev whom were consistent throughout the contest although lapses on the defensive end and costly turnovers saw UTS lose a comfortable lead which then turned into them losing the game (93 - 96). This is certainly a learning curve for the men in teal as they prepare for the upcoming UBL in 2021.
If these games are anything to go by for UBL 2021 then we are all for it! We would like to personally thank all parties involved for getting these games up and running and we look forward to seeing USYD in the upcoming UBL. #bleedteal
