Intervarsity Series - Game 2 Recap

UTS comes out strong in the womens to take a 2 - 0 lead while the men were able to tie the series up in a hard fought defensive effort. A huge 3rd quarter saw the women in teal grab a comfortable win (88 - 40) over a USYD side that had no answers for our offense. USYD started strong early with Sarah Wacher who had a huge 2nd quarter with 15 points. Maddy Norris was at it again, this time she was able to record a triple double (23 pts, 14 reb, 10 ast). Honourable mentions must also go to Sherrie Calleia (16 pts, 8 ast) and Geena Valos (17 pts, 8 reb). This win puts the womens in a comfortable position to hopefully close out the series in game 3. The mens division saw UTS tie up the series (78 - 64) with great defensive efforts throughout the game. Alex Higgins - Titsha had a much improved performance and was on triple double watch (21 pts, 11 reb, 7 ast). In his first game for the series, Tom Daus was able to cause havoc on the defensive end and was able to be a spark on offense (9 pts, 6 reb, 5 ast, 4 blk). The men will be looking to take the lead as we head back home for the final two games of the series. Tip off times are slightly changed for Monday (Women 10am, Men 12pm), unfortunately these games will not be livestreamed. #bleedteal
