UTS set to be apart of the inaugural University Basketball League (UBL)

University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) is proud to announce that it will be competing in the newly formed University Basketball League (UBL).
The competition will be a student - only league that will commence in March and conclude with a finals series in May.
UTS will host a handful of men’s and women’s games at the UTS Ross Milbourne Sports Hall, with all matches to be livestream, creating a unique experience for the spectator.
UTS High Performance Manager, Fudge Atshan, said,
"UTS has always had a strong basketball program and having the opportunity to be involved with this newly formed competition was a no brainer. Our program has been performing well in both the 5 x 5 and 3 x 3 format at Nationals, and we will look to carry these performances into the UBL.”
With the competition endorsed by Basketball Australia, this competition is set to provide a clear pathway for those students eager to develop their basketball skills in the Australian system.

See below for the official media release: It is now official. The inaugural University Basketball League (UBL) tournament will be played from 31 March to 28 May 2020. Eight universities will participate in the first year:
La Trobe University, Melbourne
Murdoch University, Perth
The University of Melbourne
The University of Sydney
The University of Western Australia
University of the Sunshine Coast
University of Technology Sydney
Victoria University, Melbourne
